The squad to represent Ireland and Great Britain at the Curtis Cup in Wales, 2020 had been announced.
The match will take place on June 12th – June 14th, and their aim is to win the trophy from the United States team, who were the winners last year in an astounding 17-3 victory.
Ratcliffe, the captain of the GB&I team has expressed her confidence in the chosen ten players. She has confidence in their abilities and explained that in the following months, they will be monitored. Each player will have to keep a high standard to secure their position on the team, as there are many other extremely talented players to replace them.
Mahaffey is the squad member with the highest rank. She is going to appear at the Curtis Cup for the third time. Her first appearance was in 2016 when she scored 3 ½ points for the team’s victorious game.
The squad is made up of 5 prospective debutantes. The final team will consist of eight players and will be finalized on May 11.
