The star of the Solheim Cup in America romped a win of 8-shots in France, at Golf du Medoc, located close to Bordeaux, while playing at Lacoste Ladies Open de France.
Korda is a two-time winner of the LPGA Tour. She kept a lead of one-shot going into the final rounds, however, she was able to card 6 birdies on the final day, shooting to a total round 67 and reaching a total of 15-under-par.
Korda opened up about the tough conditions and her determination to make the most birdies she could. She explained that her win was through the consistency of hitting lots of greens and fairways, as well as a good putting technique and a solid play.
She is 21 years old, and her parents are were professional players of tennis, originally from Czech Republic and migrants to the United States. Korda is hopeful that one day she’ll win in Czech as well, expressing the honour and elation she feels at her win in Europe.
